Microsoft’s Bing and Google launched their search innovations over the past weeks, through social search and integrating with Twitter and Facebook. Now Yahoo is doing tests to see if they will go the same route. Search engines are integrating these new tools in search results as they show more current, almost real time returns rather than material that is more “historical” in nature.
“We can’t comment on rumor or speculation,” a spokesperson for Yahoo! told TechCrunch. “Real-time search is important and we’re currently conducting several tests designed to discover if showing such content is useful to people using Yahoo! Search.
