Creating and sharing news on Google

While Newsnow and the NLA continue their battle of words Google continues to roll out new ways to watch news. Earlier they launched Fastflip, now Google announced that they are launching their Custom sections directory.

The functionality gives users the ability to create news sections  to put on their Google news home page or share with other users. The tool focusses on the ability to filter by topics. It lets users track articles based on keywords of their choice so complex filters are no longer necessary. The functionality is now available for: Australia, Canada, India, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Google expects to expand it to non-English language sites soon.
