Optimizing your website for different browsersettings

According to Google, not many people realise that different browser settings on computers means that users may not be able to see large parts of your website. Google has now come up with an application that graphically shows how much of your site is visible to users with various browsers.

They did this by rendering several weeks’ worth of page visitor browser sizes in a contour visualization. To use the tool you can visit browsersize.googlelabs.com and enter the URL of a page you’d like to examine. The size overlay you see is using latest data from visitors to google.com.
