Fast flip now on Google news

Google continues to develop their Fastflip functionality. The functionality that allows to flip through magazines quickly is now part of the Google news homepage. The article-reading service was launched in September 2009 and is  still being tested in Google Labs. Google added 50 publications to the service in December and reports that readers are encouraged to look at articles and click through to the original newssource.

It is unclear how images and other media would be licensed for these new media or if it fits in current licensing models. In any case it seems to provide a welcome addition in a range of tools that allow different types of media consumption.
