Facebook connect and privacy by Mark Zuckerberg

Mark Zuckerberg was interviewed by Techcrunch founder Mike Arrington. One of the subjects was privacy. Facebook is recomending readers to share much more details with ‘everyone’ as opposed t ‘friends’. In response to their own changed policy Zuckerberg had allready changed his privacy settings to be open. He explains why he sees it as Facebooks’s role to push the boundaries and provide functionality that allows more sharing. This does mean that 350 million Facebook users have to change their privacy settings if they only want to share information with friends but Zuckerberg thinks this is a naturally developing change in attitude to sharing information online.

He also discusses Facebook connect and how this has grown over the past year. Facebook connect allows companies to link their Facebook communities to their main website. Facebook connect may prove a great tool for stock media creators, distributors and users to connect.
