Use pictures to fly across the real world

 

One of Google‘s engineers teams have come up with a project that uses images on a modified a video player to play sequences of Street View shots in sync across three screens. Check out how the station makes you fly across Earth and zoom into streetlevel to check out details. The project is a Google 20% time project. It’s called Liquid Galaxy and allows not only to explore the world in an immersive environment but also allows you to dive under water and explore planets.
