The Onion: YouTube competition to upload ‘Good’ video’s

At the beginning of the Viacom versus YouTube lawsuit it’s good to get some perspective. And what other source than satirical newspaper The Onion  can give us a a different perspective on the 24 hours of video that is uploaded on YouTube every minute. The newschannel announces the YouTube competition as a chance to make something halfway decent, with price of $100.000. The Onion may not be far of the mark as early email communication between the YouTube founder has shown that a significant amount of traffic to the website come from copyrighted content, not user generated video’s.
