Photolibrary moving into editorial imagery

Photolibrary is making a decisive step to move into the editorial image space with the exclusive representation of Presselect. The Presselect collection contains hundreds of thousands of news, celebrity, entertainment, historical and travel images. Importantly, this is the first time Photolibrary is moving into editorial/press photography.

“Glenn Parker, Photolibrary Group CEO commented: “the representation of Presselect, now available on www.photolibrary.com, cements Photolibrary’s position as the leading independent go-to destination for the world’s picture buyers whether they are commercial or editorial in focus. We have carefully edited this collection to provide a good array of material without the clutter of too many similar style images. The collection commences our drive into the editorial and press area of the stock image market.”

With Alamy moving into commercial and Photolibrary this could prove to be an interesting your where companies are continuing to find revenues in diversification. The question is if these expansions are not coming at a time when most areas are well-served already.
